Villa de Ternes is an unusual detached private house in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.  The project involves the redesign of the house to increase interior amenity without increasing the height of the building.  Significant thermal and energy performance improvements are incorporated into a design that replaces the existing unattractive mid-20th Century building with a house that is identifiably contemporary, and is yet inserted harmoniously into its Parisian context.
