The Rock House is a project for a new private house within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The site had a previous planning inspectorate-level refusal for an outline application for a single-storey dwelling.  We produced a design scheme that not only responded sensitively to the steep topography of the site, avoided any overlooking issues, and skirted around the root growth of a protected mature tree, but that was also something that was radically different enough from original application as to provide for a scheme that the LPA could approve.
